Biography
Îçҹ̽»¨y Nyachogo is delighted to join the GSSWSR team as the Director of Student & Career Services. Holding a Master of Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania, Îçҹ̽»¨y is a licensed Social Worker in the State of Pennsylvania, most recently serving as the Director of the Bilingual Domestic Violence Program at Lutheran Settlement House in Philadelphia.
Her 10-year history of advocacy with survivors of domestic violence includes roles in both direct service and program administration, with a specialization in the medical setting. As a nonprofit leader, Îçҹ̽»¨y centered humor, transparency, and coalition-building in her approach. Îçҹ̽»¨y has also shared her expertise as an Adjunct Faculty Instructor at Harcum College and Widener University, mentoring and educating future social work professionals.
Fluent in Spanish and certified as a Domestic Violence Advocate in the State of Pennsylvania, Îçҹ̽»¨y has also contributed to the social work community through publications as well as conference presentations on topics such as trauma-informed evaluation and research with domestic violence survivors. Îçҹ̽»¨y is passionate about creating spaces that support people to thrive and is excited to work with the GSSWSR students, faculty, and community.
